DAY 1-3: ARRIVAL AND RELAXATION IN SEMINYAK
Arriving in Bali: Seminyank
Your Bali honeymoon and adventure begins as you touch down at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali. The vibrant energy of Seminyak, known for its upscale beach resorts and chic atmosphere, is the perfect place to start your honeymoon. Seminyak is positioned on the west coast of Bali, only 30 minutes north of Bali’s airport. It’s nestled between the tourist regions of Kuta and Canggu. While Kuta is preferred by the young party crowd, and Canggu is favored by surfers and digital nomads, we believe Seminyak is the ideal destination for couples.
Seminyak’s beach clubs are a popular destination both during the day (for relaxing) and at night (to party). The most spectacular beach clubs are without a doubt W Bar, Potatohead, and Ku De Ta, all overlooking white sand beaches with a beautiful, wild ocean. Seminyak is rich with boutique shops and art galleries as well: most of them are on Jalan Kayu Aya and in the Seminyak Square.
Check into a luxury resort like The Legian or W Bali – Seminyak, where you can unwind and soak in the tropical ambiance.

DAY 4-7: EXPLORING UBUD
Ubud
Located in the Balinese jungle, between valleys, forests, rivers, and spectacular rice terraces, Ubud is the island’s undisputed cultural and artistic capital. It’s for sure a “must see” while in Bali. The town itself has a lot to offer, even if small, from cultural sights to restaurants and (a bit of) nightlife. A must see are the beautiful gardens that are part of the Saraswati Temple; the Ubud Palace, an iconic Hindu temple, where traditional Balinese dances are performed; the Sacred Monkey Forest and its Sanctuary. Ubud is surrounded by jungle and rice terraces; the most spectacular ones can be found 30 minutes north of Ubud, in the town of Tegallalang.
In addition, Ubud’s geographic location make it a great starting point for day trips to other parts of the island, especially Central and North Bali
The best Ubud hotels for a honeymoon are spectacular and usually located further away from the town of Ubud, secluded in the jungle or between the rice fields with amazing views. However, most of them provide free shuttle services to town. Book the Viceroy Bali and the Kayon Resort.
Bali Honeymoon Itinerary
- Day 4: Travel to Ubud and check into The Viceroy Bali, nestled amidst tropical greenery. Spend the afternoon indulging in a couple’s spa treatment.
- Day 5: Discover the Sacred Monkey Forest, a sanctuary home to playful monkeys and ancient temples. Explore Ubud Market for unique crafts and souvenirs. In the evening, dine at Locavore, celebrated for its innovative farm-to-table dining.

DAY 8-9: MUNDUK DISCOVERY
Munduk Hidden Gems
Munduk, with its misty mountains, is a hidden gem for nature lovers. It offers a cooler climate and stunning natural beauty. Explore cascading waterfalls, visit sacred temples, and create cherished memories. In this region you will find the famous Ulan Danu Temple on Lake Beratan. There are over 4 spectacular waterfalls in proximity of Munduk and Bedugul. Most can be found near the road from Bedugul to Lovina on the north coast, but a great waterfall to visit nearer to Munduk is the Banyumala Waterfall.
We recommend to stay in Munduk and not in Bedugul, as Munduk offers nicer accommodation. For example Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort or Elevate Bali by Hanging Gardens Munduk.
Bali Honeymoon Itinerary
- Day 8: Travel to Munduk and check into Munduk Moding Plantation, offering panoramic views of the surrounding coffee plantations. Visit the stunning Munduk Waterfall and enjoy a guided plantation tour.

DAY 10-13: ADVENTURE IN AMED
Amed Coastal Village
Located on the northeast shore of Bali in Indonesia, Amed is a peaceful and charming fishing village. From Amed you will have a picturesque view of the highest volcano in Bali – Mount Agung. This lovely area is an escape from Bali’s usually bustling tourist locations and it is definitely a destination that is on the map of couples that are into diving. In fact Amed has affordable diving schools and has various famous dive spots, one of which is the US liberty maritime ship that stranded on the shores of Bali during the second world war. This wreck location is famous because nature has entwined itself around the ship, with amazing coral formations.
Another diving location is the Drop Off, also known as the Tulamben Wall. This site is an underwater cliff side about 70 meters deep formed by the flow of lava from the eruption of the volcanic Mount Agung and it’s breathtaking.
A few charming hotels which are worth staying during a honeymoon can be found around the village: The Griya Villas and Spa and Palm Garden Amed Beach. You will find some nice restaurants, but more common are simple warungs which serve fresh fish. Warungs are small family-owned restaurants that usually offer good quality local food at friendly prices.
Bali Honeymoon Itinerary
- Day 10: Travel to Amed and check into Griya Villas and Spa, where you can enjoy stunning ocean views. Spend your day lounging on the beach.

DAY 14-17: GILI ISLANDS GETAWAY
Gili Island Paradise
The Gili Islands, a trio of tiny islands, are located near the larger island of Lombok and are completely enveloped in white sand, adorned with lush palm trees, and have a no-car policy. A true paradise! Moreover, the diving opportunities around the Gilis are truly exceptional. Reefs and waters famous for its turtles and manta rays are perfect both for diving and snorkeling.
If you’re planning a honeymoon in Bali, these islands make a great addition, as they can be easily reached within approximately 2 hours by a fast ferry from Padang Bai harbor in East Bali.
Our preferred of the three is Gili Air because it strikes the right balance between liveliness while not being crowded. In addition the best restaurants and accommodations can be found here. For example Gili Lankanfushi and PinkCoco are exceptional hotels.
Bali Honeymoon Itinerary
- Day 14: Travel to Gili Air, the perfect blend of lively Gili Trawangan and serene Gili Meno. Check into PinkCoco Gili Air and explore the island by bicycle.

DAY 18-21: DREAM RELAX IN ULUWATU AND DEPARTURE

Uluwatu, perched on dramatic cliffs, is renowned for its surf spots and stunning sunsets and it’s very popular, especially among surfers, tourists and couples. The most beautiful beaches and striking cliffs in Bali can be found here as well as the most dazzling sunsets overlooking the Indian Ocean.
It is on the Bukit peninsula, south of the airport and about 30 minutes drive from the airport (that’s why it is perfect before departure). Uluwatu village, commonly called Pecatu, shares borders with the Indian Ocean towards the south and has a series of caves, restaurants, and a breath-taking view of the sunset. The Popular Uluwatu temple is just a 5-minute drive from the town and is where the famous traditional Balinese Kecak Dance is performed. The cliffs around the temple have a rich ecosystem of animals, including a thriving monkey kingdom.
Towards the eastern side of Uluwatu, there is a lively jungle surrounded by beaches with dazzling sands. There are also a lot of fancy restaurants, clubs and luxury hotels. In general, in Uluwatu, you’ll find the most luxurious resorts. Splurge at Bulgari Resort Bali or at Alila Villas Uluwatu.
